Pleasant Foreboding
by: Todd

You're being modest by calling it a 'doodle'. I like the way you've created depth with the path going uphill, disappearing behind rolling hills. There is a sense of the path leading to the unexpected in the woods beyond. The woods could have been made a little more distinct since they don't seem so far away to resort to aerial perspective. Nevertheless, I hope to paint just as well someday.

I like the way you put in the distant tree's and having the roadway leading into the painting, the reeds in the foreground are excellent...good work, watercolor is such a hard medium for me!

I'm not familiar with Sakura Koi. I like the composition, especially the trees.
