Seeing More
by: Maggie

Hi Bev. I live in Nova Scotia, nice to see another Canadian here. This is my first time commenting on the site. I love this picture! I have gone back four or five times to look at it again, and each time I see something more than I saw the last time. I have looked at a couple of your other paintings, and I think that this painting shows your style so well. I *love* the branches! :-)

They look good to me
by: Jill

I like that you chose white for them, it reminds me of a painting my mom did a long time ago of snowy trees. She doesn't have it though, its currently hanging in my dad's office at work :(

Love your paintings, not just these one,
I remember my visits to
Canada with them...
About the branches, think like these were
arms in a human...with underarms, elbows,
hands, etc.

White Trees
by: Mops

Hi Bev:
Love this painting.....can't stop smiling when I look at it. Hope you won't mind my interpretation based on my sense of humour. I immediately saw your trees as a group of people disagreeing about which way to go....."I think we should go that way"..." I don't think so"..."Well, I'm not sure"....etc.
You've really brightened my afternoon and I sincerely hope my thoughts do not offend you.

Covers the subject nicely
by: alex

I think your trees are lovely. Keep up the good
work. The only comment I would make try bringing the branches out without the dark hole around them.

Regards,

Alex.

Interesting
by: Judith

I have a soft-cover book called Drawing Scenery: Landscapes and seascapes by Jack Hamm. It was published in 1980 in the US and Canada. It is very graphic and shows all kinds of trees and how to draw them, among many other things.
