How to Use Watercolor Pencils - Part 3
In this final video of this mini watercolor pencils series I enhance an ink sketch of a tug boat with some light washes of color..
It's not a complete full-color picture but that's not the aim. Instead, I use the watercolor pencils to capture the main colors and hues so I can reproduce a full blown picture at a later time.
If you're out and about with a sketch pad and pencil, just a few primary colored pencils, a brush and small bottle of water can help you to capture that extra dimension for reference later on.
Please do have a go with water soluble pencils in the near future. They are very forgiving and a good step into full watercolors. If watercolor painting is something you'd like to try (or improve) then please look into Watercolour Secrets - it's a complete DVD course suitable even for complete beginners.
