As with my last Painting I'm still going with the red sky. I'm still not drawing any kind of picture with pencil. I've tried but I can't draw. (That sound's so bad.) I've made the tree's lighter this time and blended the sky more.

The focal point of this painting is the bridge and the waterfall as most people have said do not use white paint emm I did chinese white for the water...

Is that a bad thing? I don't think so because it worked for me. (Everyone to their own). When I put paint on the brush I still have no idea what I'm going to paint. There's no picture to copy or drawing to follow but I hope you enjoy my painting All comment's are welcome.

I'm using Bockingford 140lb (300 g/m2) acid free watercolour paper 10" X 14".

Hi Alan
Why do paint manufacturers put white in a watercolor box? It is up to you whether you want to use it or not, if it works/helps a painting then use it, there are no hard and fast rules, a nice relaxing picture, done by yourself, go for it.

Hi Alan,

You did a good job. You didn't copy a picture, but you created your own. Go on with that.
Good luck.

you sound like me - apologising for creating something the way you have.

I know so little myself but so enjoy creating and as far as I am concerned - there are no rules, you are the artist - whatever you want to do is ok with the rest of the world.

Opinions will always offend - the artist who created the work knows whether it is a good work or a bad work, so believe in yourself.

I saw this and thought I had been there sometime in my life, it is inviting. Well done

Hi Alan. Very nice colors. Just create art for the joy of it. That is all that matters.

I like it

Your water is great. My teacher also says not to use white cr, but I don't agree since she uses other non-conventional instruments (like credit cards to make rocks), so why not white?

For your next painting, try to make the trees more different from each other since, in reality, trees can be similar, but not identical.
