Using too much colour

With all those lovely colours to choose from it is tempting to try and use them all in a painting. If you restrict yourself to a limited palette of around 3 colours (OR tones of the same colour) you will produce a painting which is easy on the eye. Very often you will find that less is more! Try painting in contrast colours for example.

I painted this trying to make it look a little abstract by using semi-circles, circles, triangles, oblongs, etc.
