Tuscan Village

This was one of my first attempts at water color. I didnt have proper paper or paints for that matter. It was done on printer paper 8.5"x11". I found a picture in a magazine and had to try it. The iron fencing and most of the shadowing was quite a challenge. I like the colors and overall warmness. Maybe I will try this again someday now that I have some real watercolor paints, brushes and paper. :)

This is just amazing! It's very inviting and welcoming. I'm very impressed with this being a beginning attempt. I didn't notice that it was on printer paper. You definitely have talent. Keep up the good work!

Hi Brieghdi:
Your first attempt is quite spectacular....took me a long time to get to this stage. Love the blended colours on the path....the flowers and foliage.Did you use some opaque paint on the blue flowers in the foreground? They really help to give depth to the painting.
Looking forward to more water colour paintings from you.
