Tiger Eyes

This was done on smooth black paper, with watercolor pencils. It's about 8x10 in. I love drawing eyes, because they offer such a good opportunity to practice capturing depth. This was one of my first experiments with watercolor pencils, and overall I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

I'm not completely satisfied with the nose, though. Technically, the nose should be lower on the face, but it looked weird just fading out, so I added a hint of the nose. It still has some major problems, but I figured I should just leave well enough alone!
