The Train Journey

Hi Sunanda:
Lot of detail in your painting.Just my thoughts.....the triangular mountains are too uniform and have the same value as the rest of the painting. The colour needs to be faded out to push them back and that would make the painting more three dimensional.Loosen up a bit on the trees. Of course this is just my interpretation and it's your painting after all.I tend to be a bit "representational" when it comes to painting.

I love the concept of this painting for I have taken the train thru the Canadian Rockies . When doing a forest it workd better if the trees a suggested by shades of green and differnt hieghts . Mountains are never the same . What I did was "google" mountains to see how they are shaped . If I wnated to do a train I would look for images of passenger trains . The track would lie flatter if you angled the lines .

You put a lot of thought , love and work into this painting ...keep on keeping on .
