the lakefisher

by Olivier Beausaert
(Brugge Belgium)

The drawing is made on pastelpaper. The size is 12 1/4"x16 1/8". The weight of the paper is 75 lbs and the colour is white. It is my first drawing I made and I was looking for a colourfull picture to draw.

I tried to make the sky as realistic as possible.
I am pleased with the shape of the boat and the person in it.

The hardest part was mixing the colours in the sky and in the water.

After all it is my first drawing. Next time I make a drawing like thisone I will make sure that the colours are mixed better.

Its beautiful

The colors of the water make it seem like the colors of a sunset being reflected in the water.

I love how the boat moves through the water. The colors of the sky are beautiful yet oddly not believable. Sorry, but I can't put my finger on it... Clouds are a challenge aren't they.

Love It!

It's a picture with personality - love it! The water shows movement and it seems that there is more going on, a real story underneath the depiction of a fisherman.
