The Flower and the Butterfly

I painted this with new paints I had purchased, they were DaVinci. I am pleased with the colour. The paper was 140 lbs. and Canson. I find it looks fresher than my other paintings. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. I never know quite what to do for the backgrounds, maybe you would be kind enough to give me some ideas. Thanks again.
