the door

With this piece i was trying to identify contrast. I used regular bond paper and vine charcoal. The size is approximately 24x17inch.

My inspiration came from sitting on the foot of my bed wondering what I could draw to show contrast and it hit me...why not draw just what I was looking at, the door to my bedroom, and it worked great!

What I am most pleased with is the mirror behind the door which isn't really there but it looked bare so I added it. I like the reflections in it. The most challenging part was the angles.
