Sharpening pastel pencils

by Carolyn Holding

At last I have found a decent pencil sharpener to sharpen my pastel pencils!! It is a cosmetic pencil sharpener by Bourjois and has a large and small hole for different sizes of pencils. The small hole is great, the large I haven't used as it is two big for my pencils. Anyway it costs £1.99 from Boots.

Sharpening pastel pencils

I lost my single hole pencil sharpener and the sandpaper thing really irritated me so by chance I tried using my shapener with the large and small holes except this time I used the large holes even though it was larger than my pencils and got the exact results that I was looking for. My points are sharp and have yet to break a point AT ALL. I'M HOOKED and I as a result my artwork is more presice and detailed. Give it a try!

I have not heard of this cosmetic line. Is it only in the UK? Is there a line of cosmetics in the US that might match this line?
Thanks,
Dz

i tried that too and its wonderful for sharpening pencils quickly but sandpaper works just as well for shaping the tips of your pencils
