rework an area of a picture

If you need to go back into the picture say near the middle and you are worried about smudging your work take a piece of black paper and cut a square out of the middle about 2in.and work through that.

If you put it on your paper and don't move it you won't smudge and the black paper stops you being distracted by the rest of the piece and the surrounding colours.
