Rag Alternative

Ever wish you had an extra hand while painting en plein air? Sometimes it feels like we're trying to balance too many items.
One less thing to worry about is your trusty painting rag. Instead of putting it on the ground or in your kit to keep from blowing away, try this:
1. Take an old white cotton sock. The kind with long ribbing, like a sport sock or similiar.
2. Cut off the foot part.
3. Fold the ribbing in half and slip the cuff on your wrist.
4. Voila!!! A painting rag that's to hand (sorry - bad pun!) and all you have to do is wipe the water and excess paint on your sock bracelet. Leaves your fingers free to hold your palette or paper/block.
5. Wash your painting bracelet in the machine as needed. Oh! It helps if you put the sock bracelet on the opposite hand that's holding the paint brush ;))
