Pastels on Black Paper

You can buy acid free black construction paper at a large craft store or order it very inexpensively online. You get about 30 sheets for $5.00

Still-life is very easy and fun to do, as are night scenes like birch trees by a lake. The black paper gives depth to your drawing and makes the pastel colors look very vivid.

The reason for the acid free paper is that you might sell one -I did.

Plus this is endlessly fascinating.
