No fixative use at all

A tip I picked up when creating with pastels is to complete the work and tap the back of the work lightly, all over, with a flat ruler type tool, (it must be light and flexible). Tap the complete piece of work and this should remove all loose pastel from the art work. The work should then be ok to frame if desired as there should be no loose pastel to spoil the glass frame or inset frame with smudges.
