MySpace For Artists?

The artists gallery has really taken off. So it may be worth expanding it into a mini MySpace just for artists...

But what does that mean exactly?

Rather than just submitting one picture at a time, you would have your own page on the Internet - fully customizable and controlled only by you. You could:

Add as many pictures as you want

Invite others to comment on your work

Create a network of friends and like-minded individuals that you can keep in touch with via your space

Create your own group (i.e. the Washington Watercolorists)

Add your own videos if you wanted

Have full control over comments

As well as having your own personal space on the Net, there would be a "public" gathering place (perhaps a forum) where you can meet other artists of all abilities. This is where you would ask for feedback, create private groups and generally hang out to chat.

Of course, the entire service would be 100% free just as MySpace and Facebook are.
