Great Idea
by: Anonymous

We Should all be obliged to do this. It is all very well to read and study books on colour, but without any practical experimental mixing, one does not realy become proficient.

Remember values also
by: T.M. Smith

This is very good advise and goes for any type of painting method.
As acrlic paint by nature will dry darker and a painting go very flat in apperance, which can be trickey to judge while wet. The tonal value must be emphised far more than when using oil. (Or water colour which dries lighter.)
Thus the colour swatches and wheels need to include grayed shadow and darkned versions of the colour mixes for comparisons.
I've seen colour swatches done by Turner with notes against each in an exibition so you are in keeping with the greats.
