Pastel on Black Card

I have used a white pastel pencil on black card for this drawing of Marilyn. I find a pastel pastel exceptionally good for detailed work like this.
I found that if I use the pastel in degrees it gives better shading than just rubbing. I used my fingers for most of the smoothing out of the skin tone, to give it a translucent look. Then layered the pastel on top.
