Lovely Lindsey

This is a portrait of my grandaughter Lindsey,its 14x17,done on 2-ply bristol board with graphite.
I was inspired by a photograph I took of Lindsey,it had a soft Victorian look to it and I couldn't wait to try drawing it.
I think getting hair to look like hair is the most challenging thing in a drawing such as this but I was pleased at how it turned out. I've never had any kind of art lessons etc.but I won first place with it at the county fair here.
