Lady at Work

by Marilyn
(Canada)

I am now starting art classes, this was an assignment. It was actually the last class of the semester. I decided to give it a try. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. I painted it on 8X11 Canson watercolour paper and used Da Vinci paints. If you are familiar with Homer you will realize it is one of his paintings.

Yes, I do recognize your painting. I can only hope to paint so beautifully. I felt the painting and would hang it up immediately. I have just purchased my water color supplies. I have created a lot in my day but it's been a while. My daughter thought I should have a hobby since I start Chemotherapy again this week. Long story........ the painting is far more interesting. I hope mine will reflect the light to which you have inspired me!

Looks like an "old master" painting. Very good, soft and expressive.
