Keeping brushes clean when using masking fluid

Here's a tip I learned from my watercolor teacher at university. When you're using a brush to put masking fluid on the paper, dip it into a little dish washing liquid first then into the masking fluid.

It keeps the fluid from setting on the bristles and washes right off after you're done. I never use good brushes when I'm doing it though - just in case something happens!
