Heads Up!!

Drawn on sketch book paper, this is a picture of my husband. During a walk in the mountains in Japan he found a bunch of fruit on a vine which he proceeded to toss up in the air at me. I tried to capture the boyish fun he was having at the time.

I used a range of graphite pencils from 2H to 6B.

It was a challenging picture for me because I have only started to learn how to do portraits in pencil. This is my 6th attempt but my first attempt on my own. All other pictures where drawn using detailed instructions.
