Island Cottage
I did this little painting in class. It is an odd size because it was cut down from a larger piece of paper on which we did wash exercises.
The size is 22cm X 16.5cm (8.5 X 6"). The paper is Carteria Magnani Italia Aquerello, 100% cotton, 140#, CP.
It's lovely Italian watercolour paper, but I found the surface too soft to do any lifting of pigment. Overall, I'm happy with the summer atmosphere and tranquil mood of this watercolour.
