How to erase soft pastels

I use scotch magic tape. It is has less glue and does not stick, tear, or leave glue on the paper. Put the sticky side down over the part you want to erase and use your finger or stump and rub right over what you want removed. you can also
use any round or blunt object like toothe brush handle, paintbrush handle,
or make one. I use thin balsa wood with a pionty end cut to it. You dont want to press too hard as not to leave marks on the paper. Experiment with diffrent tools on different pappers, and it can be used as a mask also to creat sharp edge effects, and blending clouds and water effects.
