How To Draw Video Series
Part 4
This is part 4 of the 5-part "how to draw" video series...
Don't worry if you haven't seen the first 3 installments -- you'll find links to them below.
This installment covers the popular drawing material of charcoal.
If you haven't had the opportunity to use charcoal yet, you're in for a treat!
It's a very satisfying medium to use and you can create stunning effects of light with the high contrast it gives you. I use charcoal to show you how to draw a tree very quickly - I know drawing trees is something a lot of people struggle with.
I also cover how you can use our trusty friend the putty eraser to further enhance your charcoal pictures.
I'll shut up now and let you watch the video!
Part 4 - Charcoal
That's it for part 4. I really hope you give charcoal a try - it's a great little tool for sketching and very inexpensive. In part 5 we'll move on from charcoal to water soluble pencils.
