Horse portrait

I painted this horse's head shortly after my Scarborough Donkey effort. I do not know if I am cheating or not because I copied it as an exercise from a photograph that I found on the internet. It only took a few hours.

The paper is Bockingford 140lbs NOT. The medium is watercolour and approx 300mm x 230mm. I intend repeating this exercise and attempt to improve the highlights and brushstrokes on the face and neck.

I have also attempted a portrait of John Wayne - again copied from a photograph obtained from the internet - if Bob allows I shall submit that effort at a later date.
