Great tips and materials for beginners

I discovered and fell in love with the Walter Foster art instruction books a few years ago.

They start with information about specific materials and drawing techniques, then guide you step by step through various projects. It has really helped me improve my skills!

Also, their kits have all the materials included, which is a really great deal considering how expensive art materials are when you buy them a la carte! (Especially the painting kits.)
