Golden Bay

Golden Bay

'Golden Bay' was painted on Arches 100% cotton fine grain, 140# cold pressed paper. It's size is about 5x8". I did this in my first watercolour lesson and gave it to my husband the next day. He liked it so much, he wanted it framed for his office.

My first time using a masking medium, too. Altogether I'm happy with the way this one turned out, but I have so much more to learn!

Hi Bonny,

As if the sun is burning on the water. Very well done.

Hi Bonny:
Great job! Reflections and distance excellent. I like using masking medium, although I use transparent paints a lot so that I can wipe out.
We have sunsets like this over Lake Huron.

First Attempt

Wow! For your first attempt, this is great. Love the reflections and the colours you used. Well done! When my husband saw my first drawing, he suggested hanging it in the cellar. LOL Audrey
