Fruits

I love acrylics they dry fast. I tried oil before but soon found that I did not have the patience for it. Here I tried to paint a collection of fruits, I need you criticisms please. I wish I had a tutor though cause for me its trial and error all the way.

Hey.......girlfriend, this is really eye catching, very much like something Frida Kahlo would paint. Has a real Mexican flavor. I gave you 5 stars because I liked it.

Thanks Linda the fruits in the middle are what we call sugar apples, you find them a lot in the Caribbean, green pinecones that was funny.

I love your painting. I really like the way you have painted your apples and the leaves. I'm painting apples and bananas at the moment, so I can't wait to see the finished project.

Just a Thought
by: Linda in Canada

I like the way that you have done the apples they look ready to bite into, however, I'm not sure what the two in the middle are. I don't want to offend you but they looked almost like green pinecones, is that what they are?
I thought that the shading was great on the leaves and apples.
As to your comment about having a tutor, you do have one, right here! I have spent the last bit of time today going through the painting videos on the site and I would recommend to you that you check them out and try to do what they are showing you, I think they will work wonders for you. After seeing them, I'm heading to the easel to try some of the ideas out because it got me all excited to create!
