Frozen Lights

Frozen Lights

This is a painting I did in class. We were learning to create backruns on purpose using table salt.

I call this painting Frozen Lights because it reminds me of the Aurora Borealis or the Northern Lights.

The colours useed are Indanthone Blue and Winsor Blue Green Shade on Arches 140# CP paper.

Merry Christmas!

Salt!

I've done paintings myself with table salt, I like the effects it gives to the paint. Nice work by the way.

I really love your painting. Look how much can be done with a single color. Particularly nice is how you let the paint do all the work, flowing where it chose.

It give me the impression of a Chinese or Japanese painting.
