Forest on Yuppo Paper

Oh my Goodness!

Oh my Goodness!

Hi there: I took a lesson with a local art workshop because I wanted to know something about using "Yupo" paper. This paper has a plastic finish and you have absolutely no control on the water colour paint....at least I didn't. The paint ran all over the place and after looking at it in horror for a while I decided I could see something like trees and a path. The paint wipes out very easily so I tried to shape a few trunks and rocks. Sending it over for your thoughts.

I'm enjoying the paintings coming in.....sorry I haven't had time to make comments but I'm moving house....groan!!

Yupo
by: JEAN

I've just started using Yupo because I like doing abstract watercolors and it lends itself very nicely to this style. I'm learning to control it more as I practice. Your painting is vibrant and the results you can be proud of. I love the impressionist style too. If you are interested, take a look at my first result at http://the-watercolorist.blogspot.com

Hi Mops, you turned out a lovely painting, I can appreciate the trouble with trying to control the paint, I have pinted a couple on yuppo paper too and was really surprised with the end result! Can you tell me if you used a fixative when completed. Cheers Joyce
