I did this Welsh coal minner froma National Geographic photo...he was just coming out of the mine at the end of his shift .

I used watercolors 10x13 , 140pd fabriano watercolor paper ...it is a fairly good quality , inexpensive and comes in pads of 60.

I would so appriciate advice .

Miner

Hi Mary,

Your miner does look exhausted. I think you've done a good job with this.

Thank you for your comments re my painting "Smokey" Just take your time with you cat painting don't pour over it for hours do a little and put it to the side and I'm sure you will manage it. Try it in pencil first just making little strokes in the direction of his fur and markings to give it form.

Have a go at it and post it I'm sure it will fine.

Regards,

Dorothy
