Drumming

by Adelaide

When I want to paint a sunset or sunrise and I want the colours to blend subtly, I first put the colours on that I wish, blend them back and forth lightly with fingers held flat. Then I lightly drum on the sky area of my painting with flattened fingers (not the finger tips). This gives a very soft blend but does not create mud. Works beautifully.
