Dog Walker

This is my first attempt at impressionism, acrylic on 16x20 canvas. Painting is based from the memory of an impressionistic piece done in oil completely with palette knives, can't remember the artist name but it was an 18th century painter.

I improvised and used alot of artistic license ( such as adding the old truck in the shed/garage. I feel good about most of it except the foreground, I think I may have overdone it with the brown sage brush. Anyway. this is what I've got so far. Critique & Comment welcome!

Great site. My preschool age twins are exposed to art in their Montessori preschool and I am searching for ideas to help them develop a love for art that will hopefully last a lifetime. thank you for your work.
