Hi again. This is a quick study on some buoys we had sitting by the shed. I wish my lines were more precise. I guess I need to take more time and be more careful. I use maribeau pigments on 1/4 sheet of Arches cold pressed 140 lb paper. Please critique. I am so new to this. I just want to learn.

I LOVE this painting. I would frame it and hang it in my own home... love the muted tones and the colors of the buoys in contrast with the wall behind it.

Colleen,
I'm new at it too so take my comments with a grain of salt. I like it. The only comments would be: 1. The viewer doesn't know what the lines looked like in the shed so just goes by the general composition which is good. 2. If anything, you could work on shading and blending to give the items more roundness - I like the first and last ones but the fourth and fifth object with their shadows could use some shading.
