I found the picture in a magazine. The most challenging was the perspective. Acrylic on panel 11" x 14"

Hi Paul:
This is really nice. Your arch, and brighter flowers, make a nice frame for the muted colors of the building behind.

Perspective
by: Henning

Hi Paul,

This painting is good, but one can see, how you've worked with the perspective lines, and I bet you're not yet satisfied with them. One good rule, I always think of, is: vertical lines are always vertical. Keep them parallel to the edge of the paper, and you're well on the way! Just look at the pillars and you'll see what I mean. Also the top of the roof should be centered above the tower by making an imaginary line in the middle of the "box", that the tower basically is.
It's still a charming picture and I like the way there's details in flowerbeds and leaflets.
