cosmos blooms

done on canson watercolor paper with ordinary watercolors. these flowers were in bloom in a local park. needless to say they were so so much prettier than how they look here--but since these are some of my initial attempts with watercolors, i need feedback and suggestions.

These came out okay

In the US there are botanical prints that are highly valued and similar in style to yours. These are suitable and have a very classic style. I suspect that if you wanted something different in style you would have come up with something that came out just as well.

What makes a good artist is someone that can manipulate their skill to suit their purposes, not necessarily to paint just like someone else or for that matter to their liking.

I would encourage you to pursue more painting because it appears that is what you're gifted to do, and it is very obvious early on. Penny USA
