Charolais Cattle

by jonathan clarke

Hello again everybody, I thought I might run my second attempt at drawing and colouring past you, although I do it after much hand wringing, and dare I dare'nt I.It has been drawn on 14"x 1o" watercolour paper 180gsm, sketched with an HB pencil, and coloured with Reeves colour pencils.

The subjects are Charolais cattle, originally from the Charolais region of France, I think. However I think that they are just the most beautiful creatures and I wish I could have one! I have been fortunate enough to see Charolais close up, and the presence they possess is awesome, second only to the Belgian Blue which I adore also. Sorry about the waffle I do apologise. I will say that although I am not very good at this drawing thing, I have enjoyed it immensely.

Thankyou for looking.

Hi Johnathan,

I like this picture, I like how you've got the distance and also your sky. You've shown the muscle tone in the cattle well and don't give up because you are doing well and no more wringing of hands.

Jonathon, you do beautiful work. The animals have beautiful structure and look very peaceful. Please don't give up drawing. You obviously have talent! Keep 'em coming!
