Big Softie

Hi Irene Anne,

You've worked this nice and loose he looks a real pet.

The only other comment I would make is to prop your painting up on an easel if you use one or use a piece of board on the seat of a chair leaning against the back and then take your photograph.

I put a tiny spot of blu-tack on the reverse of my paintings to attached them to a board on my easel.

I think your paintings would be enhanced if you did this.

I love it! The dog looks very comfortable.
The contrast between the brown colors and the white paper are very good.

TIP FOR YOU
by: Linda

Hello Irene

if you propped up your picture and zoomed camera in to frame outline only, take several shots around the room or even a different room to get the lighting correct. What I am trying to say is that the rug detracts from your work. A screen full of your picture would be far better than half the room.

The picture is good, the dog looks like he is watching tv, he certainly is not interested in what the artist is doing, so it is a nice and relaxed pose, well done.

The appearance of this pic would be helped if you cropped the background, as it confuses the pic
