Blending with acrylic paint
by: Anonymous

I have always had trouboe with creating 'moody' skies, so look forward to trying your method. I have seen 'gesso' mentioned several times; as a newbie, could you please tell me what it is, and how it works?

Very many thanks

Anne

Another way

Brilliant suggestion and a lovely painting. However, for those who do not like the way acrylic paint dries there is a medium you can buy to slow that down.

Blending with acrylics
by: Anonymous

Wow, Penny. Good info. That is often why I don't use acrylics, because of their fast drying. I need medium with forgiveness. Lots and lots of forgiveness. And, your painting is beautiful, also. but, using the gesso wet, etc. is like the wet on wet oil painting that I am accustomed to.
