Biddy

Biddy

I painted this picture on Canson pastel paper. It measures 12 inches by 10 inches.

I've called this cat Biddy because she reminded me of a cat my mother had many years ago. Biddy was a mischevious little thing and I tried to capture her nature in my painting.

Her eyes were the most challenging feature but I am happy with the finished result.

If I were to do this picture again I would leave the pastel paper showing as a background.

Biddy

Biddy is a lovely looking cat. Having a very mischievous cat of my own, I can safely say that you certainly managed to capture the mischievous look in Biddy's eyes.

PS - Thank you for your comment about 'Our Foxy'. He loves to cuddle! 8^)

Dorothy Cambs. Biddy

Hi Dorothy,

Yes "Biddy" was painted using soft pastels, pastel pencils and conti sticks sharpened to a fine point for the finer details such as the eyes, nostrils and whiskers.

Many thanks for your excellent review of my paintings.
