Berry Bear

This is a bear that I have been wanting to do for a while. I just love them and since I have been sick and unable to work I decided to work on it. I didn't think that I would get it done so fast. I just love to look into animals eyes and try and imagine what they are thinking. I hope you like it.

Hi, I just love this painting! I have a question though. I'm quite a new painter and I'd like to know (if you don't mind) how you managed to do the hair so realistically? What kind of bruch and technique do you use? Thank you very much for your advice.

Beautiful painting - very handsome bear! I feel the same way about looking into the eyes of an animal trying to catch what they are thinking or feeling. I have 8 dogs and I,m always watching them - sometimes you can figure of what they are thinking if you watch their eyes. I love the way your bear seems to be quietly sauntering out of deep brush, exactly the way a bear would on an unsuspecting hiker.lol

This bear is gorgeous.
His fur is perfect and the contrast between shadow and sun, it's so beautiful.
