Thinners
by: Francis

I might try this as turps and even odourless thinners put me off painting in oil. Thanks for the tip.

I have previously tried baby oil and I find it difficult to get the brushes to not feel oily afterward. Paper towels just don't get it all out.

Baby oil
by: June

Great tip Robert. I`ll definitely be trying this one. Wish Van Gogh could have known this. didn`t he accidentally drink turps when he was carried away with a painting.

Great Tip... Be Careful
by: Bob Davies

Great tip Robert. Be careful not to do this for your watercolour brushes however, as you will end up putting a thin film of oil on to the paper - which can only lead to problems!
