Autumn Aglow

I love this time of the year ,it is my favorite season.

This is my latest oil,it is on a 16 by 20 in.canvas.
When I painted this,I put myself there and try to feel the beauty and richness of nature, even if it is only in my mind.I would say that my biggest concern was: that when you looked at this painting you felt a sense of peace and that you wanted to be there, that it drew you in,that is what I wanted to achieve.

As I look at this ,I wish I would have used a larger canvas,I am proud of it ,but I am a novice,so please give me your honest opinions,as I am open to all of your insights and can learn from them,Thank You.

Sincerely,
Dee

I made a mistake in my comment, I'm sorry.
I meant: make your PHOTOGRAPH straight in front of the painting.

Hi Dee,

I would like to be there, so you did a good job. The trees are nice and I like the bright blue water too.

One suggestion: When you make a photograph of your paintings, try not to show the background, but just the painting. The plaiting is deducting the eye from the painting, and I think that's a pity. Make your painting straight in front of it, so that the angles are all the same.
