What do you say in one glance?

This was done on a 9" by 12" acrylic paper with canvas texture. I just decided to start painting one day and after a couple of other paintings I saw this picture in a magazine of this woman and her amazing beaded shirt. It was focused on her amazing eyes so the shirt was all fuzzy.

I loved it and had to paint it. It was my first portrait and I had never done anything like this yet. When I had finished I was so pleased with how the shirt turned out and I love the eyes. I have never had any instruction so I was scared to do the shading. I would love to go back and paint it again to redo the hair line and maybe change the center so I could get in more of the head. I was so excited that I had done it and is one of my most favorite pieces of art on my wall.
