Apple on Fabric

by Jan
(Essex)

This is a watercolour painted on 230 g/m not surface, 80% cotton rich, 19 x 14 ins.

I grew this apple, and I wanted to see if I could capture the colours, found a old jumper to get the effects of the folds, and had a go.
I am quite pleased with the way it turned out, as it this is the first time I have painted folded fabric.

Hi Jan,

Beautiful painting.
Especially the shine on the apple you did very well.

Did you leave blank the white in the fabric or did you use white paint? I can't see it on the photograph.
Whatever you did, it looks great!

Angeline
