A Red Rose

A watercolor pencils picture of a rose on a Canson paper . I enjoyed art at school but hardly picked a pen to draw for years , this is my first attempt. An element in the picture I am not happy with, the stem and leaves area. I have to admit the video tutorials of how to paint a rose on this site was so useful in this area. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
