Colored pencils on paper,

the approximate size is: 300 x 400 mm.

Here is my sister's son being a first-former already! These pictures were quickly drawn in colored pencils, because I am still afraid of painting portraits in water-colours or oils.

So Sweet
by: Dorothy , Carluke

Hi Irina,

Your nephew is so georgeous, all wrapped up against the cold.

You can draw very well so why not have a go at a portrait in watercolour. My late mother used to say "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" so have a go at it and don't be frightened!!

Well done and best regards,

Dorothy

Never Afraid Irina
by: Adnan Sisman

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER

First of all you must say to yourself "I WÝLL DO IT"... When you say this sentence to yourself you will be finished %50 of the watercolor paintwork... You can do it, don't worry... Also you must not afraid while doing watercolor even it is the most difficult to do a watercolor portreit... Only do the things that you impressed so much... could be a portreit, or landscape or marinescape... To be impressed is so important... and give your feelings to it... be a paper, be a brush, be a color and be a clear water... Believe yourself and DO IT!!!...

adorable and well done as for using watercolors go for it . It is my medium (I'm allergic to oils) it's not a huge step from soft charcoal which I ofter use for preliminary work. They are water soluable so try taking a damp brush to them .
