A Beautiful Man

As I have stated, I am a true novice, and I did this piece b4 I started the drawing lessons.

This is again drawn on regular sketch paper, using only pencil this time. The drawing is 8'x 11'.

My inspiration was a very good friend of mine who has also inspired me to believe in myself. I drew it while looking at a photgraph of my friend. Although it lacks symmetry, I'm still pleased.
For me the hard part was shadowing and just getting it to look the way I wanted.

I think I would like to try this drawing again because I have learned so much since this was done.

Again, I'm looking to express the emotion I see, in myself and in the subject.
